Troop 69 was formed in 1945! 

"Boy Scout Troop 69 in Homestead was originally established in 1945. It was founded by Norman Benson. While it was briefly interrupted by World War II, the troop was re-established in 1946. The troop is known for its long history and its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser, which has been a Homestead tradition since 1949."

We are a Boy Scout Troop in the "Everglades District" of the South Florida Council.

"Our mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law."  (BSA Mission Statement)

We are a boy-led and boy-focused Troop with well trained leaders who care about each scouts individual success.

The troop emphasizes the boy led philosophy which originated with Lord Baden Powell, the founder of Boy Scouting.

Troop 69 has an excellent reputation for scouts earning the rank of eagle, scouting’s highest rank. This begins by scouts developing leadership skills by holding one of the troop positions. Each troop position has its own set of responsibilities and duties that the assigned scout is expected to perform.

The patrol method of scouting together, with rank advancement opportunities, are emphasized for the scouts of Troop 69.

 The parents and scouts of Troop 69 would like to invite you to attend a Troop meeting, ask questions, chat with us, and observe our scout program!
